Neither Ripley’ Believe it or not — nor numerous of New Mexico’s citizens would accept it as true, but Republican Gov. Susana Martinez signed a medical marijuana bill on Monday. Her bill would is in a addition to an already existing law which permitted marijuana to be used for select medicinal purposes such as Migraine Headaches, Chronic Back Pain, Movement Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Radiation, Therapy, Chemotherapy, Fibromyalgia, Anxiety, Arthritis, and HIV-AIDS.

New Mexico Gov. Martinez, who had been a district attorney for twenty five years, spent half her lifetime fighting the “Good” fight against drugs. She won the office as governor of  New Mexico following after there had been established  a law enabling marijuana cultivation for use for choose medicinal reasons. Now Martinez has signed Senate Bill 240, developing a growing medical cannabis fund to pay for the program’s costs.

Within her system marijuana seeds growers and sellers of marijuana for the sick would pay a conditional cost of $10,000 to $30,000 annually. So from $10 -$30 K every year from every medical marijuana collective in the state… not a bad revenue stream.

As opposed to the money going into the state’s general account, it will likely be maintained through the Department of Health like a specific fund to cover administration from the medicinal marijuana seed program.

“This means those of New Mexico’s citizens who objected for their money going toward the medicinal marijuana program should worry no more.
