A brand new state of Washington, cannabis industry non-profit organization is parting ways – news after their press secretary had been released from the cannabis friendly company during the group’s inaugural press conference which was a disaster. Safe Access Alliance has been a not-for-profit organization trying to educate the public about marijuana and how marijuana laws are antiquated. They wanted to create an objective view on the cannabis plant – with so many benefits from the cannabinoids and THC, Safe Access Alliance decided to share her information to the public including the medical marijuana community.

Safe Access Alliance president and Seattle-based lawyer, Kurt Boehl said the marijuana advocacy group will disband and part ways. Boehl stated that he formed and cultivated this 420 friendly marijuana trade industry organization due to his passion for medical marijuana. He needed to help marijuana-related business in Washington – one of the 18 states that distribute medical marijuana cards – but, the rest of the board of directors and him chose to tap out and call it quits after the firing of the press secretary.

A spokesman from the group, Philip Dawdy ran the news conference to talk about legalizing marijuana and the ballot measure of medical marijuana that will be before voters this November – Initiative 502 which is in support of medical marijuana patients. Yet Boehl sated that was not the intention he wanted to portray to his audience, and Dawdy was released at the end of the news conference. Boehl then wished Dawdy well in his attempts to fight I-502. The group that was trying to help the medical marijuana community have now disbanded due to internal conflicts, hopefully they can mend the burned bridges one day — but probably not after that terrible press conference.
